Clyde, Ohio, where I grew up the daughter of artists, was the setting for Sherwood Anderson’s Winesburg, Ohio. That might explain why stories kidnapped me at such a young age. After several years of doing other things — from selling souvenirs to cleaning apartments — and completing a bachelor’s degree at Denison University in Ohio, I returned to campus at Bowling Green State University where I earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing.

In 1993 I received an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Grant, enabling me to finish None But the Dead and Dying, which was published in 1996 by Baskerville Publishers. In 2010 I self-published Road Tales: Short Stories About Full-Time RVing, which has been well-received in the RV community — and is now released in a revised second edition — with a new short story. In 2014 I published Pea Body, the first in the Rollin RV Mystery series featuring Walt and Betty Rollin — retirees who travel in their fifth-wheel, encountering all manner of trouble.

Bob and Ellen’s Great RV Adventure (http://bobandellen.worpdress.com) has attracted readers and followers from all over the globe, and chronicles my real-life experiences as my husband and I roam the US in our own RV.

My short works have appeared in numerous periodicals and a few anthologies, and my nonfiction articles have also been widely published. I’ve been honored to be listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Women, and Who’s Who in Education.
